The Kirin X90 Plus edition of the HUAWEI MateBook Fold ULTIMATE DESIGN combines an 18-inch folding OLED display with HarmonyOS 6.1 and support for the included M-Pen 3. Its screen folds into two 13-inch working areas, while the separate wireless keyboard gives you a physical typing surface. A display for folded and unfolded work
Open the screen to use an 18-inch, 4:3 workspace, or fold it to work across two 13-inch halves. Rounded corners make the usable area slightly smaller than those rectangular measurements. The integrated stand supports an upright screen position with the keyboard placed in front.
The dual-layer OLED panel provides P3 color and local HDR highlights up to 1600 nits under Huawei laboratory conditions. Typical brightness is 700 nits, and P3 color management depends on the application. The waterdrop hinge supports hovering from 30° to 150°.
Handwriting alongside a physical keyboard
The included HUAWEI M-Pen 3 works with the updated display for handwriting, annotation and drawing in supported applications, including HUAWEI Notes and GoPaint. The pen also offers an air-mouse mode; air page turning works only in supported applications.
The separate NearLink keyboard has 1.5 mm key travel and a pressure-sensitive touchpad. It can attach magnetically for carrying, and weighs approximately 290 g in addition to the computer. The supplied stylus sleeve and storage bag are part of this package.
Kirin X90 Plus and HarmonyOS
This edition uses the Kirin X90 Plus processor and HarmonyOS 6.1. Choose 24 GB of physical RAM with a 512 GB or 1 TB SSD, or 32 GB of RAM with a 2 TB SSD. System software and formatting reduce the memory and storage available for your files and applications.
HarmonyOS provides its own application ecosystem and Huawei device-collaboration features. Compatibility depends on the application, device and software version; do not assume a Windows application runs natively on this computer. Some advertised features, including Xiaoyi Tasks, require HarmonyOS 7 or later.
USB-C connections and monitor mode
Both USB-C ports support charging, USB 3.2 Gen 1 data and DisplayPort output, but only one port can drive an external display at a time. The left port in unfolded landscape orientation also accepts DisplayPort input up to 3296 × 2472 at 60 Hz, allowing the computer to function as a monitor.
A full-featured USB-C cable is required separately for DisplayPort input or output. The included charging cable supports USB 2.0 data and does not support those display functions. For 5 Gbps transfers, use a cable that supports USB 3.2 Gen 1.
