Real Keys for Longer Messages
The clamshell opens to a full mechanical keyboard with Japanese Kana and QWERTY legends. Individually illuminated keys offer five brightness levels, helping you type messages, notes and documents in changing light. The hinge supports the device while the keyboard is open.
Two Screens for Open and Closed Use
The 5.99-inch LCD main screen provides a 2160 × 1080 workspace with an 18:9 aspect ratio, multitouch and scratch-resistant glass. When the device is closed, the 1.91-inch AMOLED touchscreen shows calls and notifications and provides access to essential controls. Its resolution is 570 × 240 pixels.
Memory and Expandable Storage
MediaTek Helio P70 provides an octa-core platform paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The 6GB/128GB Storage option lists RAM first: 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. A microSD card can expand storage, but the hybrid tray requires a choice between a second physical SIM and a microSD card.
Cameras and Everyday Connections
The 24MP external camera includes a flash and can be used with the communicator open or closed. A separate 5MP internal camera supports video calling. International Radio with a Japanese Keyboard
This offer uses the standard international modem; the Japanese keyboard does not make it the Japan modem edition. Network bands describe hardware support; carrier acceptance and VoLTE, ViLTE or Wi-Fi calling availability depend on the operator and service.
Android and Optional Linux
Android 9 Pie is the standard operating system. Check the requirements of your intended apps before choosing this older Android platform. Debian Linux firmware is available for separate installation and partitioning, with its own compatibility limitations. Published Debian v4 release notes identify an incoming-call issue under investigation; Linux is not promised as preinstalled.
