Description

HUAWEI Mate 90 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN CMU-AL10 (CN Version)

Important Notice: This is a Chinese-market Huawei model. It supports all major system languages; however, it does not support Google Mobile Services (GMS), including the Google Play Store. Please consider this compatibility limitation before purchasing.

This Chinese-market smartphone combines a dual-layer 6.9-inch OLED display, a variable-aperture main camera and a 200 MP telephoto camera with Kirin 9050 Pro and HarmonyOS 7.0. PDAPlaza offers the model with 16 GB of RAM and a choice of internal storage and colors. Regional software, carrier and satellite-service requirements are explained below.

Key features

  • 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display with a 1–120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate and BT.2020 color gamut.
  • 50 MP main camera with f/1.4–f/4.0 variable aperture and OIS, plus a 200 MP telephoto camera; 200 MP mode works at the 4× setting.
  • Kirin 9050 Pro processor and HarmonyOS 7.0, with 16 GB of RAM across all configurations.
  • 6800 mAh typical battery with up to 100 W wired and 50 W wireless Huawei SuperCharge using the required compatible equipment.
  • Polished titanium frame, Xuanwu Kunlun display glass and IP68/IP69 ratings under the specified test conditions.
  • Two nano-SIM slots and eSIM support; four stored numbers and three on standby require operator support, a HOTA update and the stated mainland-China carrier condition.

A dual-layer display with adaptive refresh

The dual-layer OLED panel adjusts its refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz and displays 1.07 billion colors within the BT.2020 gamut. Its 2848 × 1320 resolution, 300 Hz touch sampling and 1440 Hz PWM dimming provide a detailed reference for viewing and interaction. Xuanwu Kunlun Glass covers the display.

Huawei reports a peak brightness of 12,000 nits measured at 1% APL in its laboratory. This is a small-area peak measurement, and actual brightness depends on the environment; it is not a typical or full-screen brightness value.

Variable-aperture imaging and a 200 MP telephoto camera

The 50 MP main camera changes aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0 and includes optical image stabilization. A 40 MP ultrawide camera and a 200 MP telephoto camera with OIS and telephoto macro extend the shooting options, while the third-generation Red Maple color-sensing camera supports color capture. The phone offers approximately 4× optical zoom and 8× optical-quality zoom; 200 MP high-pixel capture is available only at the 4× setting.

RAW photos, Log video, HDR Vivid video and Pro mode give you additional capture formats and controls. The optional Huawei XMAGE Z10 modular camera has its own 1-inch sensor and 10× continuous optical zoom across a 24–240 mm range. That module and its professional control grip are sold separately, and their capabilities are separate from the phone’s built-in cameras.

Battery capacity and compatible charging

The built-in battery is rated at 6615 mAh, with a typical capacity of 6800 mAh. Wired Huawei SuperCharge reaches up to 100 W with a compatible 100 W Huawei SuperCharge kit. Wireless Huawei SuperCharge reaches up to 50 W with a separately purchased compatible Huawei upright or car charger and the specified Huawei SuperCharge kit rated at least 66 W; actual charging power depends on conditions.

At PDAPlaza, the RAM and storage choices are labeled 16GB/512GB, 16GB/1TB and 16GB/2TB: the first capacity is RAM, and the second is internal storage. All three configurations are offered in Rui Red, Bright White and Dark Black. Usable internal storage is lower than the stated capacity because system software occupies space, and memory card expansion is not supported.

China-market communication and outdoor tools

Two nano-SIM slots and support for two stored eSIM numbers allow up to four numbers on one phone. Three numbers can be used simultaneously, subject to a HOTA update and operator support; at least two of those three numbers must belong to the same mainland-China operator. Compatible devices running HarmonyOS 7 or later can share communication capacity across up to four devices.

Tiantong satellite communication requires the appropriate operator service. BeiDou satellite messaging and weather features are limited to mainland China, excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and need activation and an open, unobstructed location. Outdoor exploration includes cycling and hiking routes and watch-assisted emergency calling; the rescue functions require HOTA support, a compatible watch with Huawei Health, and supported device and software versions.

Titanium construction, software and configuration choices

A polished titanium frame, dynamic grating Kunlun Glass rear cover, climbing-pattern detailing and star-diamond design give the phone its distinctive construction. The Xuanwu structure also incorporates optical Kunlun Glass, while the device weighs approximately 248 g including its battery. Drop damage remains possible, and its IP68/IP69 protection can decline with wear; do not charge the phone while it is wet.

HarmonyOS 7.0 runs on Kirin 9050 Pro, with dual-chip protection for privacy and security. The side fingerprint sensor and 3D face recognition provide biometric identification options. Review the Chinese-market Google-services notice above and the regional communication requirements when choosing this edition.
