What Changed?
As of August 29, 2025, the United States government officially ended the $800 de minimis exemption.

Before: U.S. buyers could receive international packages valued under US $800 duty-free.

Now: Every shipment, regardless of value, is subject to U.S. import duties and taxes.
This policy change is part of new U.S. tariff rules that apply to all international sellers, not just PDAPlaza.
How Does This Affect PDAPlaza Orders?

We will continue to ship smartphones and devices to the U.S. using FedEx.

FedEx handles customs clearance for all shipments.

Duties and taxes are billed directly to you (the recipient) by FedEx upon delivery.

PDAPlaza does not collect these duties at checkout, so please be prepared for an additional payment when your order arrives.
What You Need to Know Before Ordering

Expect extra charges: Duties and any applicable state taxes will be collected by FedEx before delivery is completed.

Amount varies: The fee depends on the product type, its country of origin, and U.S. tariff rates. For example, smartphones manufactured in China may face a higher duty rate than devices from other regions.

No exceptions: These duties are required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. PDAPlaza cannot waive or refund them.

Check your email/SMS notifications from FedEx—this is how they will inform you of any charges.

Be ready to pay duties promptly so your package isn’t delayed.
