With a larger priority on portrait shooting, the Sony XPERIA 1 V 256GB 5G Smartphone delivers professional-quality content creation for a wide variety of social media influencers and enthusiasts. What's New with the XPERIA 1 V

Sony takes a significant step forward in professional mobile content creation with the XPERIA 1 V. Images and video benefit from improved low-light performance, an upgraded wide-angle lens, and new AI processing. They've also added new features specifically requested by creators, and implemented new abilities focused on the popularity of vlogging. This is on top of audio and gaming upgrades to maximize the quality of your entertainment when you're not creating. Specific features include:

Faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform
Updated 24mm wide-angle lens with 48MP and a 2-layer transistor pixel technology for drastically improved low-light performance
Multiple Creative Look presets let you pick a style to shoot in
Vertical UI for stills and video for intuitive portrait shooting
No more holding up a hand to gain focus, as Product Showcase auto focuses on the object you're presenting
Video Priority microphone that better picks up who's in front of the camera
New gaming features and an integrated amp for improved front-firing sound

Pro Camera System

The triple-camera system on the rear of the XPERIA 1 V retains the Exmor RS for mobile 16mm ultra-wide and adjustable 85-125mm telephoto 12MP lenses. The wide-angle 24mm is back, but with a significant upgrade to an Exmor T for mobile, which incorporates a stacked, 2-layer structure that lets more light in for much better low-light results. This is in addition to an improved 48MP (effective), 120 fps, autofocus, and OIS. As a system, other improvements include AF/AE tracking burst, but now up to 30 fps and with bokeh. The following system features continue to be available to creators:

Creative Looks

Normally you can take stunning 4K videos and high-resolution images to then post process to achieve the look and feel you're going for. With the following Creative Look presets, you can now select one that matches your stylistic goals, saving you time and giving you the ability to just shoot and share.

ST: Standard
NT: Lower saturation and sharpness in a subdued tone
VV: Highly clear images with bright, vibrant colors
FL: Moody look by applying sharp contrast to calm coloring
IN: Reduces contrast and saturation for a matte look
SH: Create a bright atmosphere with transparency, softness, and vibrancy

S-Cinetone for Mobile

Incorporating S-Cinetone for mobile, Sony gives you the ability to capture cinema-like video with accurate skin tone representation. It also provides three times the amount of saturation signal level compared to standard sensors, and noise is reduced in dark areas while creating soft colors.

AI Processing

A trio of AI processing advancements have been added to the XPERIA 1 V to more accurately capture the subjects you shoot and record.

AI Depth: Clear autofocus even on subjects in the distance using a depth map
AI White Balance: Accurate white balance in multiple light sources
AI Exposure: Accurate brightness in almost any environment

Improved Vlogging

Vloggers will enjoy the new Product Showcase and Voice Priority microphone of the XPERIA 1 V. Presenting a product to the camera in a review or unboxing can usually lead to you holding your hand behind it to gain focus on the object. Product Showcase now automatically detects the object and focuses on it, making your videos look more natural and professional. Voice Priority does something similar with audio, focusing on the subject speaking in front of the camera, minimizing the pickup of ambient sounds.
